Some initiatives that form part of our general operations include:

Corporate office in 5-star Green Star Office Design V1 rating

Our head office is at 500 Collins Street, the first high-rise refurbished CBD office building in Australia to achieve a 5-star Green Star Office Design V1 rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. It has also achieved a 5 Star Australian Business Greenhouse Rating under a preliminary assessment, as well as being the first multi-tenanted building to achieve an EcoRecycle Victoria Waste Wise accreditation. Sensor lights are installed in our office to save electricity. Low maintenance floors and office equipment are designed to last longer.

  We partner with organisations that support our members and their communities.

  Through partnerships we understand our members better, so we can continue to improve our service.

• Inclusive and flexible employer

  We are an inclusive employer and offer our employees flexibility in the workplace.

• Office cleaning

  Our office cleaners operate under ESG principles, and have policies for Sustainability and Ethical Procurement, Human Rights, Diversity and Inclusion, and to limit the risk of Modern Slavery occurring in the organisation.

• Phone and computer decommissioning

  The provider of our technology equipment and support has in place policies to decommission assets sustainably, such as recycling components of computers, laptops and phones including screens, hard drives and all electronic devices.

• Waste separation in the office

  The corporate office separates recycling from general waste.

• Support for diversity

  We support the National Farmers Federation Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program,  and, as part of this, have pledged to continue to work towards enacting meaningful change in the representation of women in leadership roles within our organisation.

• Modern slavery statement

  Modern slavery describes serious exploitation of people and it can occur in every industry and sector with severe consequences for victims. It also impacts global markets. Our Modern Slavery Statement sets out how we seek to minimise the risk of Modern Slavery occurring in our operations or supply chains.
